3/18 - UPDATE - Surgery was a success, but more treatment is needed
Since his surgery Dale gained a pound, then unfortunately lost 4 ounces. He still has sores in his mouth from the tar. More antibiotics are needed to help heal the mouth and lots of very soft food to help him get the weight back. He will start physical therapy as soon as he is stable. Does anyone know how to get rid of the tar stains? He's been washed with Dawn several times, and he is still dirty looking.
2/23 - Dale Earnhart URGENTLY needs your help
This is Dale Earnhart. He was rescued in Covina, California, and came in to our rescue on February 23rd at 1:30am. He was covered in tar and has lesions in his mouth from trying to clean the tar off himself. He has a crushed right leg that has to be amputated as well as 2 toes on his left front paw that need to be amputated. We have worked to clean the tar off of him and he has been examined by the vet. He is currently on pain medication and we urgently need to raise $1,700.00 by Tuesday for his surgeries.
Dale is a very sweet, affectionate boy who is otherwise in good health. Please help us to help him. He's in so much pain.
